I have been a resident of Holmes Chapel for 35 years and a member of the Parish Council for many of the early years here. I have recently rejoined after a break of 12 years.
I am retired from a career in advertising, marketing and the media so have the time to give to the village.
Holmes Chapel is a great place to live but like many villages is under a lot of pressure and I would like to see it protected from major development.
My particular interests for the village include:
- affordable housing for young people
- to improve the centre of the village and keep it clear of litter
- better policing
- to provide more for the residents in the form of recreational facilities and pleasant areas to walk while protecting the flora and fauna.
We have wonderful areas of countryside and a rich diversity of wildlife which we have a duty to save.
