David Savage
Born Northampton 1953 moved to Holmes Chapel in 1980. Married with 3 adult children, Hannah, Matthew and Naomi.
After approximately 30 years in the IT Business, I am now a self-employed IT Consultant. My wife is a Supply Teacher for Cheshire East Council.
I have been a member of Holmes Chapel Parish Council since May 2004 and have served as both Vice Chairman and Chairman. I have also represented the Parish on many Committees and Task groups. I was a Borough Councillor for Congleton from 2006-2009.
Much of my time in the IT business was associated with many Local & Central Government Agencies in both the UK and France and I hope to use the experience gained from this in developing good relationships with Cheshire East Council and other local authority boides.
I serve as Treasurer to the Holmes Chapel Youth Centre and am a Volunteer at Crewe and Nantwich Citizens Advice Bureau providing IT Consultancy. As a member of the Holmes Chapel Twinning Association for over 15 years I have also served as Chairman and Treasurer.
I have enjoyed living in Holmes Chapel for nearly 30 years and being an active member of the Community but realised that change was being forced upon us from many areas. I decided to stand for election to the Parish Council because I wanted to ensure that this change was for the benefit of the place in which I live and love and was not just change for change’s sake.
