Michael Street
Originally from Chelford and married to Barbara for thirty three years.
We have two grown up children who both attended the local schools. Our son is a Petty Officer in the Royal Navy and our daughter is a teacher at the Hermitage Primary School.
I started work for Hargreaves & Jones a local sand quarry firm which is now W.B.B. Minerals and after forty years service I have now retired.
I was Group Scout Leader for a number of years and was presented with the Chief Scouts Award for services to Scouting.
I served on St Luke's Church P.C.C.for twenty five years the later ten years being Church Warden until May 2008 when I stood down from that position.
I have recently become a member of Church Hulme Probus Group.
I was asked to join the Parish Council and as I have extremely strong concerns about how the village and the surrounding area is rapidly changing, I accepted and I trust that I shall do my very best for the residents of Holmes Chapel.
