David Savage
Born Northampton 1953 moved to Holmes Chapel in 1980. Married with 3 adult children, Hannah, Matthew and Naomi.
After approximately 30 years in the IT Business, I am now a self-employed IT Consultant. My wife is a Supply Teacher for Cheshire County Council.
I have been a member of Holmes Chapel Parish Council since May 2004, was appointed Vice-Chairman in February 2005 and Chairman in May 2005. I serve on various committees and task group.
Much of my time in the IT business was associated with many Local & Central Government Agencies in both the UK and France and I hope to use the experience gained from this in developing good relationships with Congleton Borough and Cheshire County Councils.
I serve as Treasurer to the Holmes Chapel Youth Centre and am a Volunteer at Crewe and Nantwich Citizens Advice Bureau providing IT Consultancy. As a member of the Holmes Chapel Twinning Association for over 15 years I have also served as Chairman and Treasurer.
I have enjoyed living in Holmes Chapel for over 25 years and being an active member of the Community but realised that change was being forced upon it from many areas. I decided to stand for election to the Parish Council because I wanted to ensure that this change was for the benefit of the place which live in and love and was not just for change’s sake.
