Holmes Chapel and Area Christian Communicare
Holmes Chapel Christian Communicare is a Voluntary Service formed over 25 years ago, as a result of a meeting between members of the 3 Churches and the Health Centre.
Over the years, the main activity has become the Car Service where volunteers drive people who have no other means of transport to the Health Centre, Hospitals, Dentists etc. There is also a small Home Care Service and a weekly Mini Bus Service.
How does the Car Service work? Patients put requests into reception of the Health Centre. These are collected daily by Communicare who then find drivers who are able to 'do the runs'. The drivers receive a modest mileage allowance to assist with running expenses, and users are invited to make a donation to cover costs. An information sheet for passengers is available at the Health Centre.
If you would like to volunteer, or would like more information, please contact the secretaries - Anita and Dennis Eborall on 01477 532407.

There are car parks at The Precinct, Library and Parkway. All car parks are free of charge although there is a time limit on the car park at the Precinct.
