Holmes Chapel Youth Council

Holmes Chapel established its first Youth Council in February 2019 to help young people become involved with village life. At the inaugural meeting 11 members were elected and the Youth Council formed.  This is an exciting step for Holmes Chapel, and the enthusiasm of the new members bodes well for great things to happen in the near future, for the youth of Holmes Chapel.

The Parish Council are very proud to support this exciting new aspect of the Council, and were exceptionally impressed with the attitudes and maturity of the elected members.

A further two members have since been elected following the first Annual General Meeting on Monday 16 September 2019, where they celebrated the achievements of the inaugural Youth Council for Holmes Chapel as well as electing the Youth Council for the academic year ahead.

There are now 13 members of the Youth Council.  So far the Youth Council have arranged and held regular meetings, have run a poster competition to raise awareness of environmental issues, conducted a survey on providing a Youth shelter in Holmes Chapel and also have launched the Holmes Chapel Youth Cinema!

The Chair is Bella Mac, and Vice Chairman is Theodore Castle
