Annual Parish Meeting 2022

On 22nd March 2022, Holmes Chapel Parish Council held our Annual Parish Meeting. After having cancelled the 2020 meeting due to Covid restrictions, and the 2021meeting being held via Zoom, it was lovely to see some of our residents face to face.

The Chairman, Cllr Chris Jackson, opened the meeting by showing the film produced highlighting the work carried out by the Parish Council, Partnership and hundreds of volunteers during the Pandemic. This can be viewed by clicking here.

This was followed by Cllr Brian Bath sharing about the Strategic Planning Task Group (SPTG) and the important work this group does by looking strategically at the future development in the village. A big project for the SPTG will be to review our current Neighbourhood Plan.

Cllr Diane Tams gave an informative presentation on a recent survey carried out with residents living in the new developments assessing how they feel about the village and the issues they face.

Copies of these two presentations can be obtained by contacting the Clerk on clerk@holmeschapelparishcouncil.gov.uk

The Chairman then read out his Annual Report, outlining the many projects the Parish Council has been involved in over the year. This report can be accessed here.

The meeting finished with questions from attendees, including an update from Mr Nigel Wait about the newly formed CommuniCARe organisation which has been set up to provide community transport for medical appointments. Anyone interested in volunteering for this organisation should email hccommunicare@outlook.com
