VE 75 Commemorations

Despite the very disappointing cancellation of the VE Day events in the village, the beautiful sunshine drew out villagers for street gatherings, with many stunning decorations to mark the 75th Anniversary of VE Day across Holmes Chapel.

We are grateful to the many volunteer groups involved, the U3A and also those local businesses who decorated their windows - the time and effort that lies behind this is appreciated. Thank you to all for lifting our spirits and joining in.
