Annual Parish Meeting 2026

It was fantastic to welcome Councillors and residents to our Annual Parish Meeting held on 26th March at the Holmes Chapel Community Centre.

The Chair of the Parish Council, Cllr Diane Tams welcomed attendees and then introduced the first speaker Jamie Murphy (Head of Engagement / Healthier Futures Programme) from Mid-Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Mr Murphy gave a very informative talk about about plans to rebuild Leighton Hospital, which would have single rooms for all patients. He then answered questions from attendees.

Three members of our Youth Council, Scarlet, Jemima and Jessie, then gave a brilliant presentation highlighting the work carried out over the last year, which include the establishment of a youth club and the installation of outdoor gym equipment. They were followed by Cllr Brian Bath updating attendees on the work being carried out by the Strategic Planning Task Group to review the Holmes Chapel Neighbourhood Plan.

Cllr Tams finished the evening with her Chair's report updating on all the work this Parish Council has done over the year. Highlights include the Summer Celebration weekend, refurbishment of the Croco Path and improvements at the Community Centre. Her full report can be read by clicking here.

The meeting was followed with tea, coffee and cake.
