Can you help us plan for the future of Holmes Chapel?

The Strategic Planning Task Group is a small task group of Holmes Chapel Parish Council who are exploring how we can prepare a strategic plan for the future of Holmes Chapel. We have previously prepared our Neighbourhood Plan but would like to update it and take a wider look at how we see the village developing in the future.

Nothing stays the same and Holmes Chapel will probably grow putting demands on schools, roads, health service provision and many other aspects of our village life. We would like to influence that change with an overall plan so it is not a result of piecemeal and disconnected development. But we need some expert help.

Are you a local resident with skills that could help us?   We are looking for people with suitable planning expertise who also have a direct interest in how Holmes Chapel develops and can spare some volunteer time.

Background information

The Holmes Chapel Neighbourhood Plan (HCNP)  was ‘made’ in April 2017, prior to Cheshire East making their Local Plan in July 2017 (CECLP) and subsequently the CEC Site Allocations and Development Policy Document (SADPD) adopted in December 2022.
