Press release from Cheshire East

"Cheshire East Council is making it easier to report potholes and other local issues with the launch of a new online tool called traCE.

Launching on Wednesday 23 July, traCE will replace the council’s current third-party solution, Fix My Street.

Accessible 24/7 from any device, traCE is a map-based platform that allows anyone to quickly and easily report issues such as potholes, fallen trees, abandoned vehicles and fly-tipping within Cheshire East.

The tool can also be used to receive progress updates on previously reported issues and subscribe to reports raised by others. This feature is designed to reduce duplicate reports - saving time and enabling council services to focus on new issues.

Developed in-house, the new tool is part of the council’s wider transformation programme. The programme focuses on improving delivery of high-demand services by using digital technology to enhance the customer experience, drive efficiencies and deliver financially sustainable services.

Councillor Nick Mannion, leader of Cheshire East Council and chair of the corporate policy committee, said: “I’m delighted to introduce this new way to report local issues.

“We understand that people in Cheshire East need quick and easy access to council services, and traCE makes it simpler to self-serve and keep us informed – helping us to prioritise resources where they’re needed most.”

Councillor Mark Goldsmith, chair of the council’s highways and transport committee added: “Our teams work around the clock to maintain Cheshire East’s roads, pavements and public areas. We are therefore grateful to everyone who takes the time to report issues as this helps us rectify them in the quickest way possible.

“We know the borough’s highways are not perfect – and despite significant investment this year, we still don’t have enough money to do everything needed. That’s why it’s so important we continue to find smarter, more efficient ways of working, so we can put as much money as possible into road and pavement improvements.

“traCE makes it easy for everyone to report issues and track progress - even if someone else has already reported the issue.”

The launch of the Cheshire East new online reporting tool feels like a quiet revolution—streamlining little everyday hassles into a few easy clicks. It’s that satisfying blend of efficiency and calm, where you no longer need to chase phone calls or wait in long queues to get something sorted. The way it simplifies complex tasks reminds me of how students look for smarter ways to manage their packed schedules. Just like this tool takes the stress out of reporting issues, some learners choose to lighten their academic load and focus on what matters most. That’s why services where you can pay someone to do my online class on platforms like MyAssignmentHelp strike a similar chord: seamless, time-saving, and surprisingly stress-free.
