Holmes Chapel Yarn bombers have done a fantastic tribute throughout the village centre in honour of The Queen and her Platinum Jubilee. Not only has the village centre been extensively and attractively yarn bombed, but the group have crowned the display with a magnificent knitted sculpture of Her Majesty.
The Parish Council offer grateful thanks to the tremendous achievement of the group.
A press release from the Yarn Bombers:
"Holmes Chapel Community Yarn Bombers would like to present our Queen as a tribute to HM Queen Elizabeth ll Platinum Jubilee.
Many thanks to the 34 ladies in our team who made this possible by making 6 inch squares.
We hope you enjoy our display - feel free to have your photo taken with HM and tag me Anita Armitt in so we can make an album of photos.
*For your safety *
Please can we ask that you don't stand on the red carpet or touch the display and if you see it being vandalised please call 07795 416 299."
