Middlewich Road / Chester Road Junction

We have recently been made aware of potential plans to modify the junction of Middlewich Road and Chester Road, as part of mitigation measures by the HS2 project, the bill for which is presently going through parliament.

Whilst Holmes Chapel is not allocated as a transportation route during the construction process, junction modifications may take place to facilitate additional vehicular movement during the project.

The initial draft plans are as per this diagram, where the thick black lines show the proposed alterations:
