New Councillor

Holmes Chapel Parish Council is delighted that Alan Watkinson was co-opted onto the Parish Council during our meeting on 19th August.

Cllr Watkinson says:

“I have lived in Holmes Chapel since 1992. Like many other residents, I moved here to take up a new job. I spent the whole of my career in Human Resources, although it was Personnel when I started out. I’m now retired.

I have already been involved in some of the work of the Parish Council, initially as a volunteer member of the Steering Group which was set up to develop the Holmes Chapel Neighbourhood Plan. When the Plan was completed, I continued as a volunteer on two of the Council’s task groups - Strategic Planning and Traffic & Transport.

I’m now looking forward to my role as a member of the full Council, helping to fulfil the Council’s vision to make Holmes Chapel a vibrant and prosperous hub of the local rural community, offering an attractive place to live, work and play for people of all ages.”

We look forward to working with Cllr Watkinson.
