Pedestrian Signs to Improve Safety

After hearing concerns from local residents about the safety of pedestrians, especially those visiting the village, the Parish Council has taken action.
Concerns were raised that pedestrians had been seen walking in front of St Luke's Church on London Road rather than using the pavement or walking behind the Church on Church View. The Parish Council has therefore funded 4 pedestrian signs and arrows to indicate that people should walk behind the Church rather than in front.
We hope this will help make the village a bit safer for our residents and especially visitors who are unaware of how dangerous that section of London Road can be.
