We would like to extend a huge thank you to Mr Richard Dutton and Mr Rob Pilcher (a member of the Dane Meadow Friends Group) for quickly coming to our aid yesterday!

We contacted Mr Dutton after hearing that the shady pond in the Dane Meadow was drying out leaving the tadpoles within that pond at huge risk. They were struggling in two tiny puddles. Mr Dutton rigged up a hosepipe from his home and refilled the pond.

We are also grateful to Mr Pilcher who took some buckets and transferred some water from the larger pond to help save the tadpoles.

Thank you so much for helping to preserve our wildlife!

Our grateful thanks also extend to all the members of the Dane Meadow Friends Group who meet every month to carry out various tasks in the Meadow to help maintain and preserve this important feature of Holmes Chapel.
