On Saturday 21 March a group of over 40 volunteers turned out , led by the "Friends of the Dane Meadow", to plant 420 trees and shrubs in the meadow. This initiative was organised by Holmes Chapel Partnership, and will greatly enhance the meadow in years to come. The trees were kindly donated by the Woodland Trust. The work took just over an hour and everyone left happy and smiling! Thanks to all, and especially Hazel Sutcliffe, for organising the whole scheme.
