Youth Council Art Exhibition Winners

The Holmes Chapel Youth Council was proud to organise an art exhibition at the recent Holmes Chapel Village Fair.

Entries were welcomed from Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, Holmes Chapel Primary, the Hermitage Primary School and Goostrey Primary School. The standard of entries was exceptional and all went on display at the recent village fair.

Judges from the Holmes Chapel Youth Council and Parish Council had the very difficult decision of choosing a winner from each school and an overall winner! Each winner was presented with a £10 Amazon Voucher by Councillor Mike Street. The winners are:

Chloe (Goostrey), Lauren (Holmes Chapel Primary), Phoebe (Hermitage), Ollie (Holmes Chapel Comprehensive) and Finn was the overall winner (Hermitage). Many congratulations to our winners!

Councillor Street says; 'This is the first time the Youth Council has organised an art exhibition and they worked really hard to set up the display and run the stall at the recent Village Fair. We are grateful to all the young people for submitting work of such a high standard. It was fantastic to see all their works on display and lovely to see people at the Village Fair taking the time to look at all this incredible art work. Many congratulations to the 5 winners. It was very hard to choose from such exceptional entries, but these 5 stood out to the judges on the day. It was a privilege to visit the schools and present the winners with their prizes.'

Thank you to all who took part for your fantastic pictures and to our Youth Council for organising such a great exhibition!
