Youth Councillors open Outdoor Gym Equipment

The Parish Council was pleased to recently install some outdoor gym equipment in the Middlewich Road Play Area.

This project originated from a proposal researched and developed by the Youth Council. As part of their work, the Youth Councillors conducted a survey among their peers to identify what facilities young people would like to see in the village. They then presented their findings to the Parish Council, successfully requesting funding for the installation of outdoor gym equipment.

We were delighted to welcome several Youth Councillors to the Play Area to officially open the new facility. The Chair, Councillor Diane Tams, welcomed attendees and congratulated the young councillors on delivering such a valuable project for the village. The Youth Councillors then each took turns to cut a gold ribbon, marking the official opening.

It is a privilege to work with such an enthusiastic and dedicated group of young people, and the Parish Council looks forward to continuing its support of the Youth Council and their future initiatives.
