Council honours Youth Council member

The Parish Council were delighted to honour the commitment to the youth council of former member Marcus Fu, before he moves on to further education.

Marcus was a member from 2021-2024, with his ideas and skills being of great benefit to the youth council. Marcus often stepped up to be an ambassador for the Youth Council, both in school and at other events, and some of his suggestions — most notably the introduction of two Happy to Chat benches in our village — have had a meaningful and lasting impact on our community.

Marcus was presented with a trophy and thank you letter by The Chair of the Parish Council, Cllr Diane Tams, along with Cllr Mike Street, who supports the youth council.

We wish Marcus every success for the future and are grateful for the time he spent as a youth councillor.
