Dog Theft Precautions

We are receiving a number of reports from local dog walkers of suspicious activity towards their dogs. This is in the form of either vehicles passing by or people on foot paying particular attention to their dog and possibly taking pictures. Other reports have been received where the dog walker has been asked questions about the age, the sex and the name of the dog. We want to remind all dog walkers that we have had suspicious circumstances reported to us recently and therefore encourage all walkers to have their dogs on leads, be in control and in view. The attached poster provides further advice to prevent dog thefts and additional information can be found on the Cheshire Police website: https://www.cheshire.police.uk/news/cheshire/news/appeals/2021/2/residents-advised-to-take-some-simple-precautions-to-protect-their-dogs-from-theft/ Sent on behalf of PCSO Ade Chadwick
