Parish Council Civic Service

The Parish Council was delighted to hold our annual Civic Service on Sunday 17th September. The service was held at St Luke's Church and led by Canon Rob McLaren.

The aim of the service is to celebrate community, with representatives from local organisations, former councillors and our PCSO invited to attend. The Chair of the Council, Cllr Chris Jackson warmly welcomed attendees to the service, and the service finished with a singing of the National Anthem. The theme of the service was being a 'Good Samaritan' and how sometimes conflicting laws, rules and regulations can prevent people becoming good Samaritans. The service was followed by refreshments in the Church Hall.

We are delighted that so many people attended the service and look forward to hosting our Civic Service again next year!
