Front Garden Competition Winners 2022

It has been another very successful year for our Front Garden Competition, with many of the village front gardens putting on a fantastic display. Cllrs Patricia Cotton and Michael Street have greatly enjoyed touring the village admiring these wonderful front gardens.

The aim of the competition is to encourage residents to develop their front gardens not only for their own satisfaction, but also for the benefit of neighbours and passers-by. There is no need for anyone to enter the competition.

We are delighted to announce the winners of the 2022 Front Garden Competition:

Front Garden Winners – Mr and Mrs Rothery

Front Garden Runner Up – Ms J Rostant

Dane Housing Winner – Mr and Mrs Doran

Dane Housing Runner Up – Ms F Walker

Mr and Mrs Rothery were chosen as winners due to their impressive floral displays, which contained a wide variety of perennial and annual plants. The judges were also delighted that many of the plants have been grown from seed.

Mr and Mrs Doran were chosen as the Dane Housing Winners due to vibrant colourful displays that made their garden stand out and which greatly impressed the judges.

All the winners and runners up were invited to the Parish Council meeting on 27th October to receive their prizes of a trophy and garden voucher.

We look forward to seeing your front gardens for our 2023 competition.
