Speedwatch Team seeks more members

Can you spare an hour or two a week to help encourage drivers to slow down in Holmes Chapel?

Holmes Chapel Partnership has successfully established Speedwatch Teams who are hard at work covering Macclesfield Road, Station Road and Middlewich Road.

Speedwatch would like to expand its team in the east of the village enabling it to cover more ‘rat run’ roads such as Manor Lane, which are of increasing concern to many residents.

Just 3-4 additional volunteers are needed to obtain a training session with our local PSCO and ensure more Speedwatch sessions across our village. Speedwatch duties are flexed entirely around volunteers’ diaries and sessions only take place when members are available.

The Speedwatch Team’s vital work will also help to provide evidence of speeding to Cheshire East Council, which we hope can be used to encourage more speed calming measures to be introduced.
